  • Deadline for abstract submission, for Rising Stars and for Poster presentations is March 27, 2025. Abstract submissions will only be accepted via the online platform.
  • Abstracts must be submitted on or before the above-mentioned deadlines. The organisers reserve the right to reject any abstract not following the required format.
  • Changes to abstracts are possible until the deadline by re-entering the online submission.
  • The abstract must be written in English. If English is not your first language, please have it reviewed. The abstract must not contain any spelling, grammatical, or scientific errors. No corrections are possible after the submission deadline. The abstract will be reproduced exactly as submitted. No proofreading will be done.
  • All communications concerning the abstract will be sent to the submitter, who will be responsible for informing the other authors of the status of the abstract.
  • For each abstract, a presenting author must be identified. For any change in the presenter’s name, please inform the Organising Secretariat at info@ifmad.org.
  • The presenting author must accept full responsibility for the content, submission, and presentation of the abstract and retain full copyright of their abstract and presentation.
  • By submitting an abstract, authors automatically authorise the Forum to publish or submit their abstract (as well as pictures, graphs, and biographies) or include them in the Forum printings or online publications.
  • The submitted work must not be published as a full paper in a journal by the time of the meeting or have appeared in print elsewhere (except in abstract form) prior to the meeting.

Guidelines for SUBMISSION

  • Structured abstracts are mandatory, stating clearly the Background/Aims, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
  • Abstracts should be written in English, and the complete abstract must not exceed the box space (500 words). Abstracts can contain formulas, pictures, or graphs.
  • We recommend that you prepare your text in a word processing programme (e.g., Microsoft Word) and then copy-paste the final text into the online abstract submission form.
  • It is possible to submit more than one abstract.
  • A submitted abstract can have a maximum of one presenting author.
  • A submitted abstract can be edited online until the given deadline.
  • Conflict of Interest/Disclosure: Abstracts must include an acknowledgment of any commercial funding sources. Authors should declare all commercial interests.
  • All studies must have been approved by institutional committees on ethics of experimental and human investigations.

To submit your abstract online, please follow the instructions:

  • Enter the online system and fill in your personal details if you do not have an existing profile.
  • Click on the button “click here to submit your abstract” on the dashboard.
  • Select the appropriate category: “Rising Stars” or “Posters.”
  • Select the appropriate topic from the list.
  • Insert the names of authors and co-authors.
  • Insert affiliations for each author and associate.
  • Make sure that you identify the Presenter among the existing authors.
  • Insert the abstract title.
  • Insert the body (that must be submitted in the required format).
  • State the conflict-of-interest disclosures for each author at the end of the submitted abstract (If there are no conflicts of interest, it should be stated as well).
